We are looking for a Drupal PHP Developer and DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team on subcontract basis.

Role 1. As Drupal PHP Developer you will be responsible for the ongoing innovation of client’s online portfolio. As a company they embrace the philosophies of modern development and innovation in everything they do. They value candidates who are highly collaborative, adaptable and passionate.

Your responsibilities will be:
  • Working on Drupal CMS platform
  • Creating new features on the already existing platform
  • Bug fixing
  • Working as a part of a Drupal team

Successful candidates should have:
  • Extensive experience in Drupal 8
  • Experience in custom module development
  • Hands-on with PHP 7.x (object-oriented methodologies) and MySQL 5.x
  • Strong working knowledge of Symfony components
  • Experience writing unit test in PHPUnit
  • Experience of working with APIs
  • Hands-on with Agile/Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • Strong written and verbal English skills for communication with UK-based team

Will be an advantage:
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Experience as part of an Agile team working with Kanban
  • Working with high traffic sites in large scale organizations
Role 2. As a DevOps Engineer (SRE) you will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and help our customers maintain and automate routine tasks for applications and programs. SRE responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. Create build pipelines, provide architecture expertise in the infrastructure planning process.

Your responsibilities will be:
  • Support for the existing platform and assistance in the development of a new one
  • Engaging as an advisor to the client around AWS solutions and earning their trust and respect. Providing expertise on aligning current trends in AWS technology market place
  • Understanding many disciplines including application architecture, resiliency and DR, databases, virtualization, servers, storage, infrastructure as code and AWS cloud computing, along with the understanding of technology and industry trends
  • Collaborating with the application developers to understand and setup tooling needed for Continuous Integration / Delivery / Deployment processes

Successful candidates should have:
  • Hands-on Experience with Linux environments (RedHat based preferably) and automation scripting
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring technologies such as NewRelic/Instana/Prometheus, ELK stack
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring on AWS; using services like ECS, RDS, ELB, EC2, EKS, S3, CloudFront, Cloud Watch, Route53, SES, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins in developing and maintaining CI/CD processes for applications deployed to a cloud or on-premises
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using automation tools/configuration management systems like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform
  • Experience with Ansible 
  • Deep understanding of web application architecture
  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS)
  • Strong written and verbal English skills for communication with UK-based team

Will be an advantage:
  • Experience with Drupal-based infrastructure
  • Experience with Puppet
  • Hands-on with automation scripting (Bash, Ruby, Python or JS)
  • Experience with databases and with large-scale, real-time applications
  • Experience building and deploying complex systems to cloud and on-premises
